The Chancellor has reduced the minimum hours requirement to 20% and reduced the employer contribution to unworked hours to just 5%, in an announcement to Parliament on 22nd October.
The Job Support Scheme starts to operate from 1 November and will run for six months, until April, with a review in January. For every hour not worked the employee is paid up to two-thirds of their usual salary.
