The Office of the Chief Dental Officer (OCDO) and Health Education England (HEE) are collaborating to develop a workstream to minimise denture loss in community and hospital settings. The project is led by Jason Wong (Deputy Chief Dental Officer), Mili Doshi (Consultant in Special Care Dentistry), Natalie Archer & Don Jayawardena (HEE Leadership Fellows).
To support this project, they want to gather a better understanding of Technician’s experience relating to denture labelling. Therefore, they have asked if you could please complete a survey, this should take no longer than 5 minutes of your time, and is completely anonymous so answers cannot be traced back to any individual.

Technicians are also invited to a ‘Denture Loss Working Group Meeting’ on Wednesday the 2nd of March at 4pm. Part of the discussions will centre around data labelling, with an aim to incorporate this more frequently within denture fabrication processes. They will also share national data regarding the incidence and impact that denture loss has, whilst exploring potential solutions with attendees. This is an opportunity for you to express your views and help shape the discussion regarding the issue of denture loss moving forwards. If you are interested in attending please email info@bacdt.org.uk for the agenda and Teams link.
